This is a sad but important story. I feel sorry for Yang who donated so much of his money and then saw it wasted. But China is full of wasted infrastructure built by local officials looking to line their pockets or pad their resumes. If China used its resources wisely it would really be doing great.

Definitely a ridiculous situation and one that needs some serious infrastructure to fix. However, "if XXX used its resources wisely it would really be doing great" could be said for just about anywhere m8.
